Albert Hammond Jr. and Bastille play Snow Show at Palace Theatre

Albert Hammond Jr. played a short and sweet high-energy set for Go96.3’s annual Snow Show at Palace Theatre in St. Paul. Perhaps best known as the guitarist in The Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr. has released four studio albums on his own including Francis Trouble which hit the streets in March of 2018. His solo work stands out strong, definitely check him out.

British synth-pop band Bastille headlined the night. The near-capacity all-ages crowd jumped from the start, but I found Bastille’s commercialized sounds lacked soul and punch. I couldn’t get into it at all.
