The Greenhornes, Hacienda & Fuck Knights at Triple Rock

This was a no bullshit rock-n-roll show, the way they are supposed to be.

The Greenhornes were in top form touring on their first new album release in eight years. They played with power and finesse and put on one kick-ass rock performance. Hailing from San Antionio, TX, Hacienda, absolutely ripped up their set as well. They were very very impressive. They last played Minneapolis in 2009 as Dan Auerbach’s (of The Black Keys) backing band on his solo tour. Local rockers Fuck Knights started things off with an alcohol-fueled set of originals that left the drummer’s only tom drum covered in beer and dismantled by the end.

This was without a doubt the best show I’ve seen this year so far.
