Japandroids at Triple Rock Social Club (night 2)

Japandroids wrapped up the US dates of their 2012 North American tour with two sold-out performances at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis, MN. I caught night two, with a capacity crowd made up of mostly of dudes and a few young women, screaming along all night to the songs. This show had good energy, but it was not nearly as great as the epic performance at The Entry in July. Opening this night was the Minneapolis duo, Blood ‘N Stuff. These guys were truly fantastic and probably the best local band I’ve discovered this year.

It was nice seeing Japandroids again, especially since singer/guitarist Brian King stated that they may not be back touring in the States next year. Their fantastic 2012 album Celebration Rock and the rest of their collection will have to hold us over until next time.
