Candid Kid releases EP at Turf Club

Much abuzz about Candid Kid

Minneapolis is steeped in music, and it is oftentimes a challenge to stand out in that melting pot. Local indie band Candid Kid is starting to do just that however. With tight hooks and danceable riffs, the band, led by singer and guitarist Benjamin Muller, is making a name. Candid Kid was recently featured on The Current’s local show, with the publication City Pages also giving them a write up.

Candid Kid officially released their five song debut EP Turtleneck at the Turf Club in St. Paul on Wednesday, April 1. The sizable crowd witnessed a great set by the four-piece, highlighted by “Whiskey” and “Summer” from Turtleneck, as well as several brand new songs.

Danny O’ Brien and Carbon Handshake opened.
