ZZ Ward brings The Storm to First Avenue

Los Angeles based singer ZZ Ward brought her brand of the blues to First Avenue in Minneapolis. On tour to support her sophomore 2017 release, The Storm, the songstress and her band played a fine show in spite of technical issues that started things off.

Hitting the stage after a blistering performance by the hard rocking duo Black Pistol Fire, Ward rocked a modestly-full First Avenue filled with fans from all over the are. Her single “The Deep” sounded especially good, blending pop and blues with hip-hop styled groove backing it.
