Manchester Orchestra pack a punch at Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis

Atlanta based indie rock band Manchester Orchestra pack some serious power. The group tore through a tight and energetic set at Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis on tour to support their well received 2014 release, Cope. The all ages crowd was amped from the start, and the band responded with an ultra-punchy set that made me very glad I was wearing earplugs. The opening band of the night, Kevin Devine + The Goddamn Band, also played a high-energy and very enjoyable set.

From a photographer’s standpoint, the lighting was rather atrocious for a majority of the night. Being my first time in the Skyway Theatre, I was impressed however with the sound and the sightlines of this former movie theater turned concert venue.
