Hanni El Khatib at Triple Rock in Minneapolis

Los Angeles based garage rocker Hanni El Khatib, rocked the Triple Rock Social Club on Sunday, September 29. He’s on tour to support his fantastic sophomore album, Head In the Dirt, which was released this year and produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The trio from Mississippi, Bass Drum of Death, opened the show with a hard-pounding energetic set that sounded much like early Nirvana. Photography-wise, the lighting couldn’t have been much worse with nothing but dim red all night.

Hanni El Khatib is a great songwriter and definitely worth checking out.
